Doc Scanner Privacy Policy

Doc Scanner (Document Scanner Photo to PDF) for iPhone and iPad

Last updated: October 21, 2026 · Applies to version 2.0 and later

In short: Doc Scanner doesn’t collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers of our own, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Your documents are processed on your device and only leave it when you share or export them, or when you turn on iCloud sync.

Who we are

Doc Scanner is developed by Jesús Rodríguez Barrera (Tappller). If you have any questions about this policy or your privacy, write to tappller@gmail.com.

Your documents

Processing on your device

iCloud sync (optional, Premium)

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives from Apple (StoreKit) only whether you have Premium and the status of your subscription, and keeps it on your device. We never receive your payment information. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Permissions

The app asks for each permission only when you use the feature that needs it, and you can change them at any time in the Settings app.

Sharing and exporting

When you share, export, print or send a document, it goes to the app, service or person you choose, and their privacy policy applies from then on.

Support emails

If you write to us (for example with Settings > Send Feedback), we receive your email address and your message. The email includes some technical information that you can see and delete before sending it: app version, iOS version, device model and language. We use it only to answer you, and we delete it if you ask us to.

Children

Doc Scanner doesn’t collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because the app doesn’t collect personal data, the only information we may hold about you is the email you send us. You can ask us to access or delete it at tappller@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil or California), you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Earlier versions

Versions 1.x of the app (before 2.0) showed Google AdMob ads. Version 2.0 removed ads and all third-party SDKs. If you still use a 1.x version, the previous policy applies to it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its date. We’ll explain important changes in the app’s release notes on the App Store.
